What also sets this aside from at-home play is the social aspect. Virtual reality and gameplay are more interactive when others are in the same room, as people can hear and feel each other playing next to them.
The game provides addictive, pulse-raising gameplay for players to enjoy. It has an immersive environment for people to explore. They can choose from several experiences, including a zombie apocalypse, a pirate adventure, a macabre mansion complete with the undead, a futuristic invasion defense, fantasy one-on-one combat sports, and our favorite, a Star Trek: Discovery away mission.
As a team, players use a VR visor, and motion-sensitive body vest, a portable computer strapped to the back, and sensors on the hands and feet. This technology lets players see, hear and interact with other players, meaning you’ll feel like you’re in an action movie and the heightened emotions that come from being personally involved.

Sandbox VR Parties and Events
Sandbox VR is great for team building, corporate events, offsite get-togethers, group activities, and parties. Teams will need to split into groups of six and play in separate rooms, but the experiences are the same.
They have separate rooms and help to bring in caterers for those events. Check with the location nearest you to find out if they support parties.

Sandbox VR is a VR company founded in 2016 by Steve Zhao, who also serves as the current CEO. The headquarters is now based out of San Mateo, CA.
The critical differentiator of Sandbox VR is instead of playing with a VR headset in their bedroom, Sandbox VR customers can go to physical locations where up to 6 of their friends are.
It was a bumpy 2016 when the company started. With just a month left of funding, Zhao brought the first game room to market in June 2017. By early 2019, Sandbox VR secured the money it needed to grow from Hollywood celebrities and key investors.

Is Sandbox VR Worth It?
From our experience, the answer is, Yes. It was a fantastic, thrilling experience better than an old-fashioned standing console-style arcade party. The only issue we had was wishing it had gone on longer.
I like first-person shooters, but you might be disappointed if you expect a quest-type experience or escape room to be solved.
Others we talked to while waiting a turn noted some technical difficulties. Technical glitches are understandable, considering the processing horsepower needed to fuel such a game. It is also possible a smaller team of two, rather than the maximum team size of six, would have difficulties killing all the zombies unless the game accounts for it.
Regarding cleanliness, the staff did a good job cleaning the equipment. They recommend wearing casual and comfortable clothes. We agree. The games are action-packed and get your adrenaline pumping. You will sweat.
