Citizen has released its latest smartwatch, the CZ Smart Hybrid “Genius Incognito” a timepiece that simultaneously displays analog and digital information through Citizen’s patented technology – providing style with precision and functionality. The CZ Smart Hybrid “Genius Incognito” includes three main functions: timekeeping, text messaging/SMS/chat notifications, and daily alarms. It also captures characteristics of the Citizen sports watch series from which it was born. The unique design gives you added credibility when you are out in public – with your friends and colleagues – without compromising connectivity or performance.

Gloomhaven Video Game | Gaming

A Steam version of the Gloomhaven board game is an almost pixel-perfect rendition of the tabletop experience. Reviews of the game reveal it is excellent, and the digital version does justice in nearly every way. The game is a bit different from the board game but shares many of the same features.

Unlike the tabletop version of Gloomhaven, players can skip setup, manage enemy deck shuffling, and health/condition tracking on Steam for a streamlined experience. Gloomhaven is a board game consisting of 600 cards, board, and pieces initially released as a physical product costing $220. It’s currently available as a digital version for $60 on Steam, and many would argue it’s easier to play.

The Goliath is a frameless desktop router robot for woodworking that can be used for many applications, from prototyping to manufacturing. It has an open frame so you can use it over any material. The machine is designed to be flexible enough to work in any environment.  It is smaller than the competition and comes with a patented sensor system that updates the router’s position to an accuracy of 0.1mm.   The three-wheel system allows the router robot to move freely around the workspace.

FreeCodeCamp | Coding

FreeCodeCamp provides free coding courses to anyone who wants to learn to program. You don’t need any previous experience or an application process – just sign up and get started. FreeCodeCamp estimates 40,000 of its graduates have secured jobs since 2014.

FreeCodeCamp’s comprehensive curriculum includes ten modules that cover everything you need to know about programming. Each module takes about 300 hours to complete, for a total of 3,000 hours. There are also thousands of hours of educational content on their channel.

Graduates of any program often need help finding work in their desired field once they graduate.  Graduates of FreeCodeCamp benefit from the alum network that freeCodeCamp provides. FreeCodeCamp even offers a networking app with over 115,000 members on LinkedIn.

AMD 7000 Series | Computing

The newest release from AMD, Ryzen 7000, was announced on September 27th, 2022. According to AMD, they outperformed their goal of increasing processor instructions per clock (IPC) by 10%. This allowed AMD to create a chip that would power many high-end systems requiring better performance, especially for gaming. In addition to being a power-efficient processor, the Ryzen 9 7950X delivers 57% better content creation performance than the Intel Core i9-12900K.

Cyber Security Awareness Month | Cybersecurity

October has been declared “Cybersecurity Awareness Month“. The Government and the National Cybersecurity Alliance came together 14 years ago to raise public awareness about cyber threats and how to defend against them.The goal is to raise cybersecurity awareness among the public to help individuals protect themselves online. We must be vigilant with the growing threat of technology attacks and confidential data breaches.
